I woke up this morning at 6 am local time, (ie 5 am EST) and decided to go down to the beach and watch sunrise. I was a little skeptical because it was fairly cloudy, and the forecast for this morning is some rain. Luckily, I was rewarded well. I’ll post the pics when I get back to the U.S.
Snorkeling has been nonexistent on this trip, aside from that first day. It has been uber-windy, so it’s simply too choppy to go out on the Atlantic side of the island. I figured, okay, let’s go try the Caribbean side. That wasn’t much better. One of the locals said usually the water is as clear as bottled water, but because of all the wind, it was muddled and you couldn’t see a thing!
Hopefully tomorrow the winds will die down as predicted and I can get some snorkeling in at Creole Rock, Ilet Pinel or Tintamarre.
